Vigilistics Announces Milk Plant Suite

Mission Viejo, CA - Vigilistics, a leader in providing systems for food and dairy processing plants, announced modular software that tracks all milk processing operations from receiving through filling, to provide management with actionable information to help reduce material loss and other benefits.

"The Milk Plant Suite provides packaged solutions specifically helpful for fluid dairy plants," said Robert Moore, CEO of Vigilistics. "Most of our installations are in fluid milk processing, and we have combined years of experience from these installations to standardize on the most useful applications for the Milk Plant Suite."

Vigilistics Milk Plant Suite includes modules for Receiving & Load-out, Batching, Pasteurization, and Filling, all configured to address the business, operational, and performance issues of the dairy plant. The software delivers targeted information to management in real time. Notifications provide instant visibility when loss events or specific operational situations are detected. Performance reports enable management to focus on the goal of reducing material losses, increasing energy efficiency, and improving asset utilization.

By tracking all in-plant product movement and processing conditions from Receiving through Filling, information is correlated to production across the entire plant. Other plant-wide capabilities include track and trace genealogy for quality assurance and compliance with the Bioterrorism Act. Vigilistics allows tracing any material or ingredient forward and backwards through the plant storage units, processing equipment, valves, and pipes to final product lots. All products that could have been affected by a contamination are shown graphically as well as the path through the plant taken by the material. All commingling, by-products, and mixed lots are shown. This functionality is particularly useful in minimizing recall impact and assuring milk quality.
