Rockwell Automation to Acquire Dynapro's HMI Software Business
Rockwell Automation, a business of Rockwell International Corporation, is expanding its human-machine interface (HMI) software and hardware capabilities by signing a definitive agreement to acquire various portions of Vancouver-based Dynapro.
Under the agreement, Rockwell Automation will purchase intellectual property and assets associated with Dynapro's software business, whose primary responsibility is the design and development of human-machine interface software sold under Rockwell Automation's Rockwell Software brand. In addition, Rockwell Automation will also acquire intellectual property and assets related to Dynapro's development and manufacture of Rockwell Automation's Allen-Bradley PanelView "e" operator terminals and various other control and communication products.
Rockwell Automation previously held a 50% stake in Dynapro. The acquisition will give Rockwell Automation ownership of intellectual property and assets associated with Dynapro's development of some of Rockwell Automation's Rockwell Software and Allen-Bradley brand products.
Rockwell Automation brings together leading brands in industrial automation, including Allen-Bradley controls, Reliance Electric power transmission products, Dodge mechanical power transmission components, and Rockwell Software.
