PRO MACH Acquires Third Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Company
PRO MACH, Inc. (Atlanta, GA) has completed the third in a series of acquisitions of packaging equipment manufacturers.
PRO MACH's first acquisition was Wexxar Packaging Machinery Ltd. of Vancouver, British Columbia, a manufacturer of case formers, case sealers, and tray formers. The second was that of Brenton Engineering Company (Alexandria, MN), a manufacturer of case packing machines. Lastly, the company purchased Roberts Polypro Inc., (Charlotte, NC), a manufacturer of converting machines and plastic fitments.
PRO MACH is currently in active discussions with a number of new candidates and hopes to close several additional acquisitions during the first two quarters of 1999.
"Current market trends favor consolidation in the food processing and packaging machinery industry," commented J.P. Richard, CEO of PRO MACH. "A shrinking number of increasingly larger customers are looking to a smaller number of more capable suppliers to serve as integrated equipment and service vendors, both in the U.S. and internationally."
PRO MACH, INC. has been formed to acquire and grow companies engaged in the design, manufacture, marketing, and service of industrial food processing and packaging machinery
