Paperless Chart Recorder

The Screen Master 2000 is a new product that redefines the specificationi for paperless chart recorder solutions, designed for use in the harshest industrial environments with superior data storage and integrity. State of the art hardware includes a color TFT LCD screen to give excellent viewing from any angle, universal inputs, on board flash memory, removable storage media 1.44Mb or 120Mb floppy discs, puls solid state options using SmartMedia or Compact Flash cards. With a solid state option fitted, the device has no moving parts, making it extremely reliable, robust and suitable for almost any application.

The stored data in the device is protected in a number of ways from corruption or interference both physically and in hardware and software. An 8Mb on-board Flash memory, which does not need to be battery backed, will retain the data during power interruption. The saved data can be encrypted which ensures that it will not be tampered with to meet to the most stringent requirements of internal or external auditors. There is also an internal audit trail that logs al changes to the unit and can identify who made the changes and when.

In addition to password protection and to prevent unauthorized access of the removable memory, the media door includes a lock. To make the unit even more secure, the ability to fit a tamperproof seal is provided. A provision is made for reading encrypted data into standard PC spreadsheet applications. This allows off-line analysis and archiving while maintaining data integrity.
