SKYE 2000b is a microprocessor-controlled package test system that gives an accurate and totally reproducible measurement of package integrity and seal strength. Analyze your packages for immediate and potential problems. These combination leak detectors and burst/seal strength testers help predict the shelf-life of food and drug products based on the leak rate of the packaging material. The average leak test takes only 3 minutes ... making the SKYE 2000 faster and cleaner than water based systems. This system is ideal for testing leaks in sterile medical supplies.

Burst/seal strength tests work for all types of packaging including flexible packages, rigid packages, snacks, canisters, and open and closed-end tubes. In just 15-30 seconds (for an average burst/seal test), this system automatically identifies the stress areas and weaknesses of a given package.

Each system includes a closed package fixture for pneumatically testing a variety of fully sealed packages, or an open package fixture for packages sealed on three sides. In addition, two probes (needle heads) are available for different applications.
