National Dairy Farm Program To Host Workshop June 5 And 6
The National Dairy FARM Program is a nationwide, verifiable program that addresses animal well-being. Having well-trained, knowledgeable evaluators is key to a successful animal care program. Lead the way by becoming a certified FARM trainer today.
The two-day workshop will be held June 5 and 6, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Outagamie County UW-Extension Office, 3365 West Brewster Street, Appleton, 54914.
This two-day intensive course will cover the intent of the FARM program and explain how to successfully complete an animal care on-farm evaluation based on the National Dairy FARM Program guidelines. The program instructors will be Jan Shearer and Keri Retallick from Validus.
The cost to participate in this course is $400, which covers materials, instruction, transportation to the farm and lunch on both days.
