Melody Farms Acquires Stroh's Ice Cream

Rodney George, president of Melody Farms, today announced their acquisition of Stroh's Ice Cream Company. The purchase includes the company's real estate holdings, equipment and customer list.

"This purchase will enable us to process rather than have our products co-packed and will create a broader and more efficient distribution system," said George.

Stroh's Ice Cream is a separate company from The Stroh Brewery Company. Through the acquisition Melody Farms also acquired with Stroh's Ice Cream, Stroh's Homemade Ice Cream, Mooney's Ice Cream (Northern and Western Michigan), and Nafziger's Ice Cream (Ohio) and the licenses to process Sanders Ice Cream and Savino's Sorbets.
