Lala Foods Awarded By The International Dairy Foods Association

Los Angeles, CA - The International Dairy Foods Association Achieving Excellence Marketing Awards annually honors the dairy industry's finest marketing achievements. This year, LALA received six awards for "Best New Cultured Product" to "Best Ethnic Marketing Campaign". The recognition garnered by LALA is a prime example of how international companies are successfully leveraging their brand equity in the U.S.

LALA Foods Inc. created the most buzz in early 2006 when they seized the opportunity to use the Mexican National Soccer Team sponsorship rights as their main platform for a promotional campaign that held the slogan "AcompaƱamos a Los Nuestros" (We Support Our Team). The combination of the natural appeal of the brand to the Mexican market and the highly emotional appeal of soccer to all US Hispanics resulted in a natural fit to reach the interest of US Mexican families.

"LALA has been a symbol of tradition and quality for our consumers in Mexico for more than 55 years. It is amazing to see the emotional and nostalgic link that the brand has created with its consumers even on this side of the border. We remain committed to delivering the same type of innovative and quality products in the U.S. that our consumers have welcomed into their homes for generations," said Yann Audebert, LALA executive.

LALA's authentic products (milk, Mexican cream, fresh cheese, blended and drinkable yogurt) are produced in the US with the original recipes and base ingredients from Mexico. Recognized by Mexican consumers as the premium brand they grew up with, LALA has quickly become a major player in US independent Hispanic retailers generating a growth in the categories where it participates.

With the clear vision of becoming the U.S. Hispanic consumers preferred brand, LALA Foods Inc. successfully launched distribution and tactical media efforts in key Hispanic markets such as Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Fresno, Chicago, Phoenix and Tucson. Continuously growing its distribution, LALA Foods Inc. announces it will soon expand its coverage into high-density Hispanic areas in the Midwest and Southeast regions such as Colorado, Georgia and North/South Carolina states.
