Kellogg Appoints Cook Executive VP

Kellogg Company has named John Cook executive vice president of the Kellogg Company and president of Kellogg North America. Cook will oversee the United States and Canada -- two of Kellogg's largest markets.

Prior to joining Kellogg, Cook was a director at McKinsey & Company, Inc. and was responsible for leading the firm's worldwide corporate strategy practice. He helped build McKinsey's Midwest Consumer Goods Practice into the largest consumer practice in the firm and earlier in his career developed the Australian Consumer Goods Practice in Sydney. Before McKinsey, Cook was a brand manager in its foods division sector with The Procter & Gamble Company.

"Cook will play a key role in strengthening our ready-to-eat cereal business and accelerating the expansion of our convenience foods business," Said Carlos Gutierrez, president and COO.
