Jersey Dairy Choose Yorkshire Shrink Wrappers

Yorkshire Packaging Systems Ltd, the leading supplier of shrink wrapping equipment in the UK who are currently nearing their 35th year of trading have recently installed a second system in to the famous Jersey Dairy on the isle of Jersey.

Jersey milk is known as a premium brand the country over and so recent investments in new shrink wrapping equipment has been part of a plan to cope with increasing demand.

The equipment supplied was a fully automatic inline sleeve wrapper upgraded to a full dairy specification including stainless steel due to the wet working environment where mild steel would not have been sufficient.

In addition the shrink tunnel belt was also upgraded to incorporate side chains to prevent the shrink tunnel belt from stretching over time, compared to the more common cheaper friction driven system.

David Parmiter, Jerseys' Head of Production commented "We have been more than impressed with YPS equipment and the backup and service provided. It helped that YPS had such a clear understanding of our needs due to their long standing expertise specifically in our industry and so specification through to installation and training was extremely smooth.'
