Orlando, FL - IPL Packaging, a designer and manufacturer of innovative packaging, will mark the opening of the International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association Expo, June 11-13th in Orlando, FL., by launching a new line of wholesale, club store and foodservice containers featuring the In-Mold Labeling (IML) injection process.

In addition to offering a wide selection of round, square and rectangular IML tamper-evident containers, IPL now offers IML decoration on two pails: 1 USG and 1.2 USG (4.0 litres and 4.5 litres). These are an ideal packaging solution for a wide range of food products, including prepared and fruit salads, grated and specialty cheeses, and various confectionery products. The
IML technology allows IPL to produce competitively priced plastic containers with a more eye-catching look that adds a new dimension to point-of-purchase merchandising. These IPL containers are turning consumer's heads - a big advantage when you consider that studies show that, if consumers pick up a product, 87% of the time they end up purchasing it.

"IPL features the largest selection of IML containers on the North American market," declared Pierre Boilard, sales and marketing director of IPL Inc.'s packaging division. "By utilizing the IML process, our containers not only improve production-line efficiency, they also have an impact on the shelves. We offer a unique product at a truly competitive price."

In the last ten years, IPL has become known as the North American expert in IML injection, a labeling technique that is well known and widely used in Europe. IML is also now grabbing the attention of retailers throughout the United States and Canada.

Unlike flexography or dry offset printing, IML uses a preprinted polypropylene label. The label is carefully placed into the mold, the mold is closed, and melted plastic is injected. The heat causes the label to become an integral part of the final product—an attractive plastic container that's manufactured and decorated in a single operation.
