International Dairy Show Recognized, Shares Exciting Updates For 2015

Dairy industry suppliers and processors attended the International Dairy Show Advisory Committee meeting during Dairy Forum 2014 last month to discuss plans for the 2015 International Dairy Show in Chicago. Representatives from more than 25 exhibiting companies and IDFA board members learned about continued enhancements for the 2015 show and heard IDFA's exciting new ideas for promoting this and future shows.

Increased and enhanced on-floor activities continue to be an area of emphasis for 2015, including:

  • Increased on-floor education in iDairy Show theater and programming with larger set and more seats,
  • Adding more on-floor food and beverage events, expanding closing reception and awards presentations,
  • Expanding pavilions focusing on transportation & distribution, innovation and ingredients,
  • Continued partnership for the Collegiate Dairy Contest, and
  • More networking lounges.

IDFA was happy to report a nearly 50 percent increase in buyer attendance for the 2013 show and will continue to work toward increasing both domestic and international attendance. The successful increase in attendance for the 2013 show has won IDFA recognition in Trade Show Executive’s (TSE) Fastest 50.

"We are thrilled the International Dairy Show has been selected for TSE’s Fastest 50,” said Robin Cornelison, IDFA trade show director. “The show has been in a transition period the last few years and we are pleased with this momentum going into the 2015 show.”

“In 2013, IDFA co-located with FPSA, giving more than 19,000 total attendees the opportunity to view both trade show floors – nearly 315,000 square feet of exhibits, offering everything that dairy companies need to run more efficiently, create new products and improve profitability.” said Neil Moran, IDFA senior vice president, finance, administration and trade show. “We are looking forward to an exciting 2015 event and have already sold more than 62 percent of the show floor.”

Exhibit sales for the 2015 International Dairy Show are now open. The show will be held September 15-18, 2015, co-located with FPSA’s PROCESS EXPO at McCormick Place in Chicago.
