Got Milk? book, puzzles available for purchase

The Got Milk? folks aren't just settling for TV commercials to get their message out--a new book and line of puzzles also promise to convey the idea that not having the white stuff around stinks.
The California Milk Processor Board, which created the humorous milk-deprivation ad campaign, recently announced the issuing of four 550-piece jigsaw puzzles packing images related to the promotion as well as the release of Got Milk? The Cookie Book.

"Got Milk? reminds us that running out of milk is a pain in the butt," CMPB Executive Director Jeff Manning said.
The various puzzles depict cereal characters Snap, Crackle and Pop sadly confronting a mute bowl of Rice Krispies; a headless, partially eaten gingerbread man; a group of kittens begging for milk; and Sesame Street mainstay Cookie Monster saddled with cookies but no milk.
Penned by author/baker/candy maker Peggy Cullen, the cookie book features more than 50 recipes for the sweet treats, including Thanksgiving Biscotti, Christmas Cantuccini, Utterly Buttery Shortbread and Nutty Roof Tiles.
"This book is yet another reminder that some things are just impossible to swallow without milk," Manning said. "This partnership illustrates the licensing power of Got Milk? and its evolution from a television tagline into a contemporary lifestyle brand."
The puzzles and book are being made available via major retailers.
