Gast Manufacturing Names Rimes President; Gast Remains as Chairman

IDEX Corporation (Northbrook, IL) has announced that Donald Rimes has been named president of its Gast Manufacturing business unit, effective Jan. 1, 1999. Rimes succeeds Warren Gast, who will remain chairman.

Gast has been with the company 45 years. Under his leadership the company has grown from a small rotary air pump manufacturing firm to a leading producer of air motors, vacuum pumps, compressors, vacuum generators and regenerative blowers used in a wide variety of industrial processing applications.

Donald Rimes joined the company in 1970, and became vice president and COO in 1997. Gast Manufacturing was acquired by IDEX Corporation in Jan. 1998.

IDEX Corporation is a manufacturer of proprietary pump products and engineered equipment with leading positions in niche markets.
