Food Packaging Innovations Showcased At 2005 AMI Convention & Exposition
Remote Diagnostics and New User-Friendly Machine Control System Among Highlights
Kansas City, MO - Processors of meat, poultry, seafood and other food products will find a host of groundbreaking technology advancements on display in the Multivac exhibit at this year's AMI (American Meat Institute) Convention & Exposition, Booth # S4431, October 26-29, McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois. Multivac will be highlighting TecConnect, a new state-of-the-art remote diagnostic system, along with new machinery across its product lines. Multivac's new user-friendly IPC control system will be debuted as well.
In addition, the company will conduct a conference seminar focused on the latest developments in shrink packaging for food products. Multivac's FormShrink system allows food processors to create custom shrink packaging inline using rollstock film instead of pre-formed bags. The seminar will take place on October 28th, and attendees can consult the AMI show directory for time and location.
TecConnect enables processors to instantly connect with Multivac service experts via live Internet videoconference to quickly diagnose and resolve maintenance issues with a minimum of machine downtime. Attendees will have the opportunity to see this technology in action along with Multivac's new IPC machine control system, the most user-friendly on the market. A Multivac R530 rollstock machine outfitted with the IPC control system will be demonstrated at the booth.
AMI will also be the North American debut for Multivac's new T450 high-volume traysealer and R150 compact FormShrink system. Capable of sealing up to 150 standard trays per minute in a two-lane configuration, the T450 is designed for optimal speed, reliability and flexibility. The R150 brings the advantages of Multivac's FormShrink inline shrink packaging to smaller processors and lower-volume operations.
In addition to machine demonstrations on the show floor, Multivac's packaging consultants will be available to discuss the company's full range of rollstock, vacuum chamber, traysealer and labeling systems with attendees. AMI members not able to attend the show or conference seminar can call Multivac for more information at 800-800-8552 or e-mail muinc@multivac.com.
