FOAM-KOTE™ is specially formulated for pre-milking foaming application, providing increased dip visibility, coverage, and stimulation, along with the germicidal power of iodine.

Features and Benefits:

  • Increased Visibility and Coverage Dark brown staining qualities of the dip, and increased surface area when foamed, provides excellent confirmation that teats have been thoroughly covered.
  • Better Scrubbing Action and Stimulation During application, pressurized foam penetrates cracks and crevices and moves around the teat providing a scrubbing action that lifts soil from the teats and increases stimulation of milk flow.
  • Enhanced Kill Rate Laboratory tests show FOAM-KOTE produces a quicker bacteria kill versus a competitor's foaming dip. This reduces the chance of new intramammary infections.
  • Controlled pH Provides excellent bacteria kill without danger of irritation to cows' teats.
  • Freeze/Thaw Stability If frozen, this product can be thawed completely, mixed to its original state and used with confidence.
  • Ready-To-Use No mixing is required.
NOTE: Although post-dipping can be done with foam, the following should be considered:
  • Foam dries slower than liquid and the cows may lie down after milking. Organic material may stick to the teat.
  • Foaming products are formulated for fast kill rates rather than high emollients (the higher the emollient, the less if foams).

Directions for Use
Use at full strength. Do not dilute
Before milking, foam each teat with FOAM-KOTE Foaming Teat Dip using the proper teat dip foamer system. After 15-30 seconds, dry each teat thoroughly with a single service towel. If the udder teats are heavily soiled, wash with a sanitizing solution and dry before application of FOAM-KOTE.

At each milking, make sure to have a clean teat foamer applicator. The applicator should be emptied, cleaned and rinsed with potable water after each milking session or when it becomes contaminated during milking. Do not pour remaining solution from teat foamer applicator back into original container.

AIR PRESSURE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FOAMING APPLICATOR*: Air pressure recommendations vary depending on the foaming device used to apply the dip. Air pressure guidelines for FOAM-KOTE are: from 55-70 psi for FOAM-KOTE 5, and 45-60 psi for FOAM-KOTE 10. Please note that lower pressure results in a more liquid foam, and pressure exceeding the guidelines results in increased spillage.

*Tests done using Meltec Sani-Sure Foamer applicator. Requirements may change for different foamers.
