One of the biggest tablet press enemies is dust. Dust is a natural by-product of milling and can be extremely abrasive due to the hardness of the ingredients used in tablet production. If left uncontrolled, dust will settle on your tablet punches and pressure rolls causing pitting, which leads to imperfections in the final product.
