Scherping Systemsng Conveyor allows operators to produce stirred and cheddared curd with one piece of machinery. Primary whey separation takes place on a wedge-wire screen directly below the curd and whey inlets. As the curd travels along the draining belt, vertical agitators stir and level the curd and allow excess whey to freely separate. Further down the belt the curd forms into a mat. The curd is then inverted via a slide, moving it to the lower matting belt.
Horizontal agitators are mounted on the matting belts making the system suitable for the production of granular curd. After the matted curd travels the length of the second matting belt it will be milled by a full width curd mill and then discharged to downstream processes.
