Dean Foods to Acquire Alta Dena Dairy

Dean Foods Company has reached an agreement with Bongrain North America to acquire Alta Dena Certified Dairy (Industry, California). Alta processes fluid milk, ice cream and other dairy products with distribution throughout Southern California.

"Alta Dena, together with our Berkeley Farms brand in Northern California, provide the platform to introduce innovative products like our Milk Chugs under well-known local brands to customers throughout California," said Howard Dean, CEO of Dean Foods.

Dean Foods is a dairy processor and distributor, producing a full line of branded and private label products, including fluid milk, ice cream and extended shelf life products, which is sold under the Dean's and other regional brand names.
