Mettler Toledo Safeline To Exhibit Its Product Inspection Equipment Onboard The Mobile Training Platform At Food Safety Summit

Tampa, FL - Mettler-Toledo Safeline, the worldwide leader in metal detection and x-ray inspection equipment, will showcase its Product Inspection Mobile Training Platform in booth #609 at the Food Safety Summit to be held at the Washington DC Convention Center March 18 – 19, 2008.

The Mobile Training Platform is a customized motor coach with a variety of checkweighers, metal detectors and x-ray inspection equipment onboard. The bus travels throughout the U.S. year-round visiting food and pharmaceutical plants offering a convenient hands-on training opportunity. Visit us in booth 609 to step aboard and gain hands-on knowledge on the very latest in product inspection technology!

Mettler-Toledo Safeline and Mettler-Toledo Hi-Speed will host an in-booth promotion during exposition hours and will give away two 8Gb iPod NANOs - one each day of the show! Visitors can enter the drawing in booth #609 for a chance to win.

Safeline's equipment onboard includes two conveyorized metal detectors of different frequencies as well as gravity flow, pipeline, and pharmaceutical metal detectors. It also has two x-ray inspection systems.

The PowerPhasePRO is a three frequency metal detector with an intuitive, icon-driven color touch screen interface and delivers quick, true automatic product set-up. It is the most sensitive metal detector available today and detects ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants up to 40% smaller than any other metal detector.

The PowerPhasePLUS, an ultra-high-frequency metal detector, is able to operate in excess of 800kHz and offers increased sensitivity, particularly to non-ferrous and stainless steel contamination. It features automatic product set-up and an easy to use LCD/LED display with a membrane key pad and is available in stainless steel wash-down and white-painted non wash down versions.

Safeline's Gravity Flow Heavy Duty and Standard Duty metal detectors can detect ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel contaminants in high volume, free flowing powders and granular products. They are available as free-standing or suspended units with various circular pipe diameters and high-speed reject-valve diversion.

The Pipeline metal detector with a patent-pending design is deal for pumped liquids, slurries, and semi-solids such as ground meat, this metal detector is USDA meat, poultry, and dairy approved for the highest sanitation requirements.

Safeline's Tablex 2 – the latest metal detector for the pharmaceutical industry with maximum sensitivity, flexibility and stability – will also be featured. The Tablex 2 has a very user-intuitive interface and a highly flexible design. It's very small footprint fits easily into space-restricted areas and the position of the detector head can be easily adjusted to suit any process equipment configuration. The system also lends ultimate mobility and improved stability with robust, low profile castors.

The AdvanChek X-ray inspection system is designed and manufactured as a sophisticated, but simple X-ray inspection machine for those users who require the best contaminant detection without the complexities normally associated with X-ray inspections. The machine is designed for food and pharmaceutical manufacturers who until now have been unable to justify the costs of purchasing and running a traditional X-ray inspection machine.

The PowerChekPlus X-ray inspection system uses a vertical single beam x-ray for inspection for packaged and bulk products, PowerChekPlus inspects for contaminants such as metal, stone, bone, glass and high-density plastics and can check product mass, overfill and underfill and for missing or damaged products.

The Summit delivers an intensive education covering the technical, practical and emerging topics of concern for today's top food safety professionals. The event offers 30 in-depth seminars across five focused tracks, five half-day workshops and three high-profile keynotes, as well as Vendor Track Theater during expo hours. Attendees may visit 200 leading suppliers and gain first-hand knowledge about products and services that they can apply to their immediate needs.
