Dean Foods Completes Acquisition of Alta-Dean Dairy

Dean Foods Co. (Franklin Park, IL) has completed the acquisition of Alta-Dena Certified Dairy in City of Industry, CA. Alta-Dena processes fluid milk, ice cream and other dairy products with distribution throughout Southern California.

"The combination of the Alta-Dena brand in Southern California with Dean's Berkeley Farms brand in Northern California and Dean's four private label fluid milk plants located throughout the state sets the stage for new marketing opportunities and future sales growth," said Howard Dean, chairman and CEO of Dean Foods.

Dean Foods produces a full line of branded and private label products, including fluid milk, ice cream and extended shelf life products that are sold under the Dean's and other regional brand names.
