Cheese Block-Forming Tower
Design features include:
An electronic ball screw cylinder provides the ability to locate the position of the platform within 1/64 of an inch providing unmatched accuracy to insure reproducible block weight and dimension.
The innovative block eject tray presents a seamless, even surface to eliminate block shaving and insure that all of the cheese from the block forming chamber goes into the bag.
A few of the construction features of the Tower are:
electronic ball screw cylinder
unique frame design for ease of cleaning
minimal cheese losses
load cell control
low maintenance
local/remote control
liner constructed of 8 gauge type 304 stainless steel
liner openings are drilled and countersunk
tapered column to facilitate discharge
fully compatible with existing Scherping (and other) cheese systems
provided with easily removable safety shrouds
One PLC, or programmable logic controller, can automate as many towers as are required in the operation. This means that all the towers will be operating under identical parameters. Each tower however, can be manually controlled by its own operator interface if needed. Remotely mounted solenoid panels will provide valve actuation, which eliminates tower-mounted solenoids. The tower is mounted on load cells to control the column height for each type of cheese being manufactured, which provides reproducible block density.
