Baltic Dairy Board Is Rapidly Developing In The Field Of Biotechnology

(GlobeNewswire) - Baltic Dairy Board Ltd. informs that in 2018 the company will concentrate its activities/production on the production of biotechnological products, such as a diverse production of GOS (galacto-oligosaccharides) in syrup and powder form. Milk and whey products produced so far, such as cream, milk protein concentrate (MPC) and whey protein concentrate (WPC), will be produced only by special order.

Hence, from 1 March 2018, regular purchases of raw milk from dairy producers/farms will be discontinued, since for the production of the above-mentioned GOS products there are other raw materials necessary, and they are easily available in large quantities on the market.

This six-month transition period is expected to result in a decline in turnover and a decrease in the number of employees.
