Sohha Savory Yogurt Expands Wholesaling Reach In New York Metropolitan Area

Sohha Yogurt is now carried by leading specialty shops in New York City and continues to add new retail partners around the city, Westchester, and Long Island to sell its Brooklyn-made, Savory Yogurt. Now more customers throughout New York metropolitan region will have access to what New York Magazine deemed “New York’s Best Yogurt” in 2014.

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) - Sohha Yogurt (http://www.sohhayogurt.net) in its first year of operation, primarily offered its one-of-a-kind savory yogurt direct to consumers at farmers markets and its flagship booth at Chelsea Market. This direct-to-consumer model allowed Sohha to serve its yogurt with exciting toppings or as a main ingredient in a number of innovative Mediterranean dishes.

But the demand for containers of Sohha yogurt, as well as jars of its toppings, has exceeded what those outlets can accommodate.

Thus, Sohha began working with well-respected Brooklyn businesses, Colson Patisseria, Crema BK, and Greene Grape, to test the retail waters. The orders steadily grew apace.

“They love our product at Greene Grape and we’ve been receiving inquiries from many gourmet shops,” said John Fout, co-owner of Sohha. “It was time to work with more retailers.”

Recently added retailers include Eli Zabar, Zabar’s, Forager’s Marketplace (Dumbo and Chelsea), Gastronomie491 and Westerly Natural Market. These partners sell a variety of Sohha Yogurt products. The complete retailer’s list can be found on Sohha’s website.

“Working with shops around New York City metropolitan area offers an advantage,” said Angela Fout, co-owner of Sohha. “It introduces our product to a new audience who may not shop at Farmers Markets on Saturday or visit Chelsea Market, but are interested in discovering high quality, pure and wholesome products.” She added, “Many of our retail partners feature local producers like us—it’s a fabulous fit for us and our partners.”

Sohha Yogurt has also expanded its offerings beyond its famous yogurt. They now offer drinks, such as Mango Lassi, Probiotic Whey Lemonade, Whey, and Wildberry Lassi. Sohha produces other Middle Eastern favorites for those who cannot consume dairy – handcrafted baba ghanouj and hummus. All the delicious offerings follow Angela’s family centuries old recipes.

Sohha Savory Yogurt also continues to be sold at farmers market in New York City, Brooklyn, Long Island, Westchester, and Rockland County. Customers in Brooklyn have several delivery options, including Good Eggs. Or visit Sohha’s stand in the world famous Chelsea Market (enter through 15th Street) to try the yogurt by the container or to try the yogurt served with fresh toppings in a cup or a pita.

About Sohha Savory Yogurt
Founded by Angela and John Fout, Sohha Yogurt believes that food should be wholesome and made from the highest quality ingredients. When their daughter Savana turned six-months-old, there was no yogurt on the market that was pure and wholesome enough to feed to her. John and Angela preferred their family recipe for savory yogurt made by hand. It was so good that they began eating it, too. So did their friends. Today they produce savory yogurt made from only three ingredients: locally sourced milk, sea salt and probiotic cultures.
