With its specially designed impeller and housing, the FZX Series maintains it's prime when other pumps become air bound. This feature combined with it's ability to produce a vacuum, makes it an excellent CIP return pump when complete removal of fluids is needed. The FZX is also effective at emptying tanks, particularly those with a foamy or aerated product, therefore eliminating product waste.

Here are some of the applications:

Sour Cream The FZX is responsible for smoothing to the required consistency. This eliminates the need for a positive displacement pump which would pump product through a screen.
CIP Return The FZX is able to eliminate the "bath tub ring" in processing tanks because the CIP solution is completely evacuated from the tank.
CIP Return Just one FZX can remove CIP solution from 3 tanks. This eliminates the need to put a pump on a cart and move it around to each tank.
Cream Unloading By installing the FZX, an ice cream company is able to save 30 to 40 gallons of cream per load, originally lost because of foaming problems with the regular centrifugal pumps.
Cheese Curd Pumped through an extruder, the FZX Liquid Ring Pump replaced a diaphragm pump.
Milk Slurries The FZX is used to break up powder balls during mixing and blending of various milk powders.
Liquid Eggs The FZX is used for loading and unloading liquid eggs from tanker trucks. This eliminates the loss of product due to foaming when using positive displacement pumps or standard centrifugal pumps.
Propylene Glycol The FZX is able to lift the product out of the top of rail cars.
Eggnog Drum Unloading The FZX Liquid Ring Pump easily replaces a diaphragm pump for unloading out of 55-gallon drums.
