Best Sanitizers Introduces New Boot Scrubber Series To Help Food Processors Reduce Cross-Contamination From Footwear

Best Sanitizers, Inc., a leader in hand hygiene and sanitation products for the food processing industry, introduces new boot scrubber equipment to help support a facility’s footwear sanitation program.

Nevada City, CA (PRWEB) Best Sanitizers, Inc., the company which introduced food processors to the future of footwear sanitation with the HACCP SmartStep™ and HACCP Defender™ Footwear Sanitizing Systems, is taking footwear hygiene to the next level by adding the new BSX Boot Scrubber Series to their line of equipment. The BSX Boot Scrubber offers six different boot scrubbers, giving food processors the ability to reduce cross-contamination from footwear by choosing a system which suits the specific needs of their plant. Before using a HACCP SmartStep or Defender Footwear Sanitizing System, employees can effectively clean their boots before sanitization. Each boot scrubber has an open, sanitary design which eliminates hidden and hard to reach areas that are difficult to clean and can harbor pathogens. Dairy approved feet on the upper end of this series further minimizes surfaces where pathogens can hide.

For facilities with a smaller number of production employees, Best Sanitizers, Inc. offers the BSX100, BSX200, BSX400 and BSX600 Boot Scrubber Units. Each of these boot scrubber units accommodate one user at a time and are ideal for facilities with lower employee throughput. The BSX100 and BSX200 operate the same way; a user steps onto the platform, the system is activated and Alpet® No-Rinse Quat Sanitizer is sprayed onto the boot and brushes to aid in the cleaning of the footwear. The user moves their boot back and forth through the brushes supplying the mechanical scrubbing action. The BSX100 and BSX200 are also available in a dry version for facilities that don’t require the chemistry application when cleaning footwear. The BSX400and BSX600 operate similarly but also include motorized rotating brushes to help automate the scrubbing action.

Manufacturers with a medium to high number of employees and greater throughput requirements, Best Sanitizers offers theBSX800 Compact Walk Through Boot Scrubber Unit. Diluted Alpet® No-Rinse Quat Sanitizer is sprayed onto motorized rotating brushes from a stainless steel venturi dilution valve and metering tip to provide the desired PPM. The BSX800 uses two rotating disk brushes to clean the sides and sole of the boots, while the BSX800-V uses three vertical rotating brushes and one horizontal sole brush. Both have a small footprint and are ideal for tight spaces and medium traffic applications.

The BSX1000 High Capacity Walk Through Boot Scrubber Unit is designed for facilities with a larger number of employees. Similar to the BSX800, this unit can accommodate up to three users at a time, allowing for 15-25 users per minute. The BSX1000 uses two motorized rotating disk brushes and two long motorized horizontal sole brushes, while the BSX1000-V uses three vertical motorized rotating brushes and two long horizontal sole brushes. Both of these configurations use Alpet® No-Rinse Quat Sanitizer to aid in the boot cleaning, and provide multiple points of contact between brush and boot. The BSX1000 is designed for larger spaces and higher traffic applications.

Best Sanitizers’ new BSX Boot Scrubber Series gives food processors large and small, dry or wet, a variety of options for cleaning footwear prior to sanitization. With the help of Alpet® No-Rinse Quat Sanitizer, a dilutable sanitizer for food contact and non-food contact surfaces, footwear can effectively be cleaned prior to sanitization. After footwear is cleaned and dried, employees can use the HACCP SmartStep™ Footwear Sanitizing System or HACCP Defender™ Low-Moisture, Walk Through, Automatic Footwear Sanitizing Station for an additional layer of pathogen protection. Using the effectiveness of Alpet® D2 Surface Sanitizer, the HACCP SmartStep and HACCP Defender are a powerful tool for controlling moisture, pathogens and cross-contamination in a food processing facility.
